Fall 2013 Backer Progress Report

Humble Greetings From Warbird Games!
Development is really heating up, guys! This time I have some huge announcements, starting with a new distribution partner ready to deliver digital content to every backer! We also have a new development parter and a major switch to an entirely new engine! This comes with much more broad compatibility, higher resolutions, and lots of other great advantages. I’ll also show you guys some new cutscene visual effects in the works and a few more peeks into the production while we’re at it!

Building The Rocket: Inside and Out | Fantasy Workshop #1

Adventure games are as much fun to create as they are to play!

Welcome to a whole new series where I take you with me into the Warbird Games Fantasy Workshop to follow along in the creation of Jack Houston and the Necronauts! Watch as I build and customize sci-fi models, create miniature terrain, carve foam scenery using saws and hotwire foam cutters, paint and airbrush miniatures, sculpt creatures, build stop motion armatures, and put it all together in Photoshop and After Effects, then script the game logic in the computer and make it come alive!

In this episode, I’ll create the rocketship interior from scratch using foam and plastic, paint it, and photograph it for use in the game as background plates. Then I’ll move on to the exterior, as i add extended wings to a large V2 rocket kit.
